The Lonesome Spur is more than a dude ranch.
If it's soft beds with fluffy, down-filled pillows you're after, we offer that, too. For a true western experience with a Montana twist, you're headed in the right direction.

Like cowboys on the high summer range, you'll sleep in rustic log cabins. The hired hands call them "line shacks", but we prefer to call them camping cabins. Bunks are furnished and you may bring your own bedrolls or sleeping bags or request bed linens be supplied. Showers and restroom facilities are nearby. For a taste of the west Native American style, we have authentic teepees set up on a ridge overlooking the Clark's Fork valley.

Meals are home-cooked and served family style -- including our famous "Pitchfork Fondue" BBQ. If you go away from the table hungry, it's your own fault. Help "Cookie" with the dishes and you'll probably get an extra slice of hot apple pie!

As you leave the kitchen, be sure to check out the Schwend family brands on the walls. The background on this page is just a sample!

Time to saddle up!
