"Who Expect Miracles"

Praise the Lord!
"While the earth remaineth, Seedtime
and Harvest shall not cease." (Gen.8:22)
Hallelujah!

GI - GO

Garbage In - Garbage Out. GOSPEL IN - GOSPEL OUT. Wheat in ground - Wheat out of ground into combine bins. Hallelujah!

Remember what I told you in our Sept./Oct. Seedtime & Harvest? Harvest has come and the wheat is in the bins & elevators; and the ground is worked and we are starting over int he law and cycle of Seedtime Harvest. Hallelujah!

Praise God, we are still the Happy Farmers who Expect Miracles.

The April 16 headlines in our local paper was FARMERS IN FRENZY OVER FREEZE!

Praise God the Happy Farmers were not in a frenzy. Hallelujah! Then it went on to say, "farmers are depressed as there was ice from the head to the stem. Go to local coffee shops and talk is how much damage did the record low sub-freezing April temperature do the 1997 wheat crop." Praise God we don't spend time in the coffee shops listening to all the frenzy and worry or reading the newspaper but we spend time in the TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD, Hallelujah!

It says - THINK ON THESE THINGS.

Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God. And the PEACE of God which surpasses ALL understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally brethren whatever things are true and honest, just, pure, lovely and of GOOD REPORT, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy MEDITATE on these THINGS. Those things which you have both learned and received and heard, and see in me, DO and the GOD of PEACE shall be with you. Hallelujah! (Phil. 4:6-9).

That is what we continue to DO and then on June 19, the headlines read: APPARENTLY, THE FREEZE DIDN'T HURT CROPS AFTER ALL, yields from 40 to 73 reported. Smiles. That's right. Farmers are actually smiling for a CHANGE. And it looks like the NERVOUSLY anticipated wheat harvest is going to be a success.

We spent those two months speaking the TRUTH of His WORD and living in wonderful PEACE, Hallelujah!

Take Heed What You Hear or Read

The trouble with most people today is - They have stinking thinking. And they are hurt by it. As someone has said, "we Christians need to get a check-up from the neck-up. We need to be very selective of what we allow our eyes to SEE and our ears to HEAR. That's what Paul is saying to us in Phillippians 4.

He is telling us how to THINK. We are to fix our THOUGHTS on whatsoever things are TRUE...JUST...PURE...LOVELY...of GOOD REPORT...If there be any VIRTUE and if there be any praise, think on these THINGS. The word VIRTUE literally means LIFE. There are lots of things in the world that are TRUE that have NO LIFE and NO PRAISE to God in them. Isn't that so? So just because something is true, does not mean we should set our minds to THINK about it. Just because Sister Bucketmouth, the church gossip, reports tales that are true, that doesn't mean you and I need to give EAR to her and to THINK about the things she says. It's not enough for something to be TRUE to command our attention - it has got to produce VIRTUE (LIFE) and PRAISE before we are to FIX our MIND on it. Praise God!

The thought Paul is expressing here is the one he wrote in II Cor. 10:15....bringing into CAPTIVITY every THOUGHT to the OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST. What Paul is talking about here is nothing less than MIND CONTROL. I Cor. 2:16, he has already told us that we have the MIND OF CHRIST. Now, he is instructing us in what to DO with that MIND and the main point of his message is this: Take CONTROL of your MIND! USE it to bring LIFE to men and GLORY to God! Hallelujah!

Law of Hearing

Most of the FARMERS talked about the April 16 freeze and stayed ANXIOUS and WORRIED for two months because wherever they got together, that was what they HEARD. Also on radio, TV and newspapers.

We want to operate the law of hearing on the positive side and make it work for us, rather than against us. It has a great part in determining WHO and WHAT we are.

Praise God the the LAW of SOWING & REAPING in II Cor. 9:6-8 and Gal. 6:7 and the scripture that has been on the heading of our SEEDTIME & HARVEST since its beginning. Gen. 8"22, "While the earth remaineth, Seedtime & Harvest shalt not cease."

I would admonish you to take the words of JESUS in Mark 4:24, "TAKE HEED WHAT YOUR HEAR!" Remember GI-GO.

GARBAGE IN - GARBAGE OUT.
GOSSIP IN - GOSSIP OUT - But Praise God!
GOSPEL IN - GOSPEL OUT
HALLELUJAH!

Be careful who and what you listen to. Examine the content of what comes into your MIND. Know what is going in, whether it is TRUTH or GARBAGE. You know there are some people who will use your ears as GARBAGE dumps, IF YOU LET THEM. It will be like backing up a GARBAGE truck to your front door and dumping GARBAGE all over your yard. GARBAGE POLLUTES. It affect your spirit and your mind. You are to take HEED to what YOUR HEAR. Hallelujah!

Still Sowing

The Happy Farmer is still SOWING the Good News of the GOSPEL into the minds and hearts of men in the Bill Johnson Correction Center two nights a week.

We are seeing the men saved, healed and delivered from the curse of the LAW. Hallelujah! I keep telling them that they were looking for what I have when they got on drugs, alcohol or dope. I tell them, "Just one does of the Holy Ghost is not enough for me - or them."

Eph. 5:18. Be ever filled and stimulated with the HOLY SPIRIT. HALLELUJAH!

Happy Farmers New Pastors

Ma7 18, 1997 was Jeff Rogers first Sunday at the Hopeton Wesleyan Church as our new pastor. The Headlines in the Alva paper was "FROM SMOKY MOUNTAINS TO OKLAHOMA WHEAT FIELDS."

Not many people would willingly leave the mountainous area of South Carolina for the wheat fields surrounding Hopeton, Oklahoma.

However, Jeff and Ann Marie Rogers, along with their two-year old daughter Hannah, are perfectly content after making their move. Jeff and Ann Marie are both graduates of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, so they were acclimated to the plains somewhat gradually.

"We're both from small towns (Westminster and Seneca, SC)", Jeff said. "I come from a town about the size of Alva, sot it's not as big a shock as it would be for someone who came from the city" "People have been great," Jeff said. "We love the community feel of it."

"My grandfather was a Baptist pastor and I always felt like I'd like to pastor but it was not a definite call until December, 1990."

Although this is his first time as the senior pastor, Jeff spent three years during high school as minister of music at the Seneca (SC) Wesleyan Church and one year in Tulsa as Assistant Pastor and Minister of Music at Metro Wesleyan.

Many are amazed that one so young would be asked to fill such a responsibility. Jeff knows maturity is not a matter of age.

"A person can be 90 and not mature in the Lord, or a person can be 22 and be very mature in the Lord," he says with sincerely. "It's more spiritual. God always uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise."

"He chose David when he was a young man to lead Israel. I feel if he could lead Israel, I can pastor a rural church."

The most enjoyable part of his position is "being with the people, loving on them and finding about what their needs are - building relationships with them"

"We're still in the honeymoon stage," Jeff says. "It's been better than I ever though it could be." "I really feel like the Lord blessed me being able to come right out of college and pastor a church this size and with this spiritual maturity. It's been awesome to see how God worked." Praise Jesus!

This 75-year old "Happy Farmer" who has the same Spirit in him that raised Jesus from the dead to quicken and energize him (Rom. 8:11) and his 22-year old pastor make a POWERFUL TEAM. Hallelujah!

We've got the Holy Ghost down in our heart. Just like the Bible says.

We've been to the river and we've been baptized.

We've got our hands to the Gospel plow and we wouldn't take nothing for our journey now.

Just like the Bible, just like the Bible, just like the Bible says.

And one dose of the Holy Ghost is not enough for us! Hallelujah!

Thanks to all of you who agreed wit us for a Spirit-filled pastor; our prayers were answered.

I love you and Jesus loves you.

Seeming Ourselves as God Sees Us

As we continue to meditate, ponder and confess what God says about us; we will build a vision, a picture into our spirits (hearts) that will line up with His Word.

The heart always has an inner image, and it's that image that will dominate and dictate our life and future; so it is important that we see ourselves according to the Truth.

Prov. 23:7. "For as you think you your hearts, so you are."

Many of us have never really dared confess what God's Word says about us. That we are what the Bible says we are - that we have what the Bible says we have.

Many times we maintain a wrong confession. One of defeat, of failure and of the supremacy of Satan.

Don't strive for a brand of humility that does not acknowledge who you are 'in Christ'. True humility will say about yourself what God says about your, no more or no less.

Read Rom 10"9&10. The first confession wwe must make is the confession of Jesus as our Lord. Being born again, becoming a child of God is the key which unlocks ALL God's provisions and promises to us.

1 John 3:1 (Message) "What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it - we're called children of God! That's who we really are....."

Rom. 8"16&17 (Message) God's Spirit touches our spitits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is and we know who we are: Father and children....

II Cor. 5:17 (Message) "Anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons!"

II Cor. 5:21. "For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us. Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."

Rom. 5:17. "For as by one man's offense (Adam) death reigned by one, much more they (that's us) which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ."

We can fearlessly declare that God has made us righteous. We didn't do it. God did it.

A line in one of David Ingles songs says: God poured my sin into Jesus; Put righteousness where sin has been.

I pet. 2:24. "...By Whose strips ye were healed."

Matt. 8:17. "...Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses."

God's Word says we were healed almost 2000 years ago by His stripes. Healing belongs to us.

Eph. 1:3. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ."

These verses are not saying in the sweet bye and bye, but down on the ground while we're still around!

God says you're His child. He says you are a new creation. He says you're righteous. He says you're healed and He says you're blessed.

That is how God sees you; start agreeing with Him!

I have been receiving Seedtime & Harvest for years. I cannot thank you enough for being so good at always sending it to me. It never stops here. It has made quite a few miles in my own family. I always send it on to my oldest grand-daughter and she sends it on to her mother-in-law, and we have no idea who sees it from there! But this oen thing I do know....God's Word will not return to Him void! Praise the Lord! Keep up the good work of spreading the WORD!
