Jakey's Fork Homestead B&B;
Vacation Home & Cabin Rental
Dubois, Wyoming
In the shadow of the wild and majestic
Wind River Mountains!

Your hostess: Irene Broderick

Less than 8 hours from Denver & Salt Lake City
90 minutes from Jackson Hole and Teton & Yellowstone National Parks

Nestled on a hillside, the main house overlooks the original turn-of-the-century log buildings and Jakey's Fork Creek, an unspoiled trout stream.

This spacious rustic home is warm and welcoming; heated by a wood stove and large brick fireplace. The homestead bunkhouse has been restored and its rustic accommodations are available.

Irene lovingly tends the cottage gardens which surround this Wyoming country home. Through the gardens and down the boardwalk are the original sod covered homestead buildings. North of them lay the original stable and corrals. To the south, the pond attracts a variety of birds, deer, moose and other wildlife -- as well as the resident ducks, geese and sheep!.

Tucked away along the creek are campfire sites with swings and hammocks for guests to relax and enjoy this peaceful retreat!
Horsehoe pits and croquet are set up on the cabin lawn.

In the autumn, the aspens turn a brilliant gold and the air is crips and cool. The trout fishing behind the bunkhouse is superb. Yellowstone Park is quiet, yet open to visitors. This time of year, the elk in the Park bugle and spar in front of your eyes. You may catch a glimpse of the wolves hunting.

Autumn is an excellent time to view the Dubois Big Horn Sheep herd only 15 minutes from Jakey's Fork Homestead on the back road that starts on Irene's property.

For winter visitors, there is fantastic cross country skiing and snow machining only 20 minutes away.

Off season rates are available.
